Ich m\u00f6chte aufzeigen, dass unser Bewusstsein das Potenzial hat, Licht in jeden Aspekt unserer menschlichen Erfahrung zu bringen. Wenn wir den Zugang zu diesem erweiterten Bewusstsein in uns finden, erm\u00e4chtigt uns das, f\u00fcr uns selbst eine Quelle der Weisheit und Intelligenz zu werden. Ich glaube, dass es bei spiritueller Transformation nicht nur darum gehen kann, abstrakte mystische Zust\u00e4nde herbeizuf\u00fchren. Sie k\u00f6nnen jedoch ein wichtiger Schl\u00fcssel f\u00fcr die Zukunft unserer Spezies sein. Gerade in der heutigen Zeit fehlen uns sehr die ganzheitlichen Perspektiven. Wir begegnen den lebensbedrohlichen Herausforderungen der Menschheit mit einer noch sehr eingeschr\u00e4nkten Denkweise. Wir legen zu wenig Wert auf die Frage, welche Art von Bewusstsein sich diesen Herausforderungen stellt. Im Ergebnis werden wir zwar mit Informationen geflutet, haben aber nur sehr wenig Klarheit. Unser Bewusstsein ist eine Quelle von Klarheit und erm\u00f6glicht es uns, die Welt mit einem neuen Blick zu sehen. Seit meiner fr\u00fchen Kindheit hatte ich eine starke Tendenz zum Beobachten. Ich hatte das Gef\u00fchl, nicht ganz Teil der menschlichen Erfahrung zu sein. Als w\u00fcrde ich sie von au\u00dfen beobachten und studieren. Diese Tendenz war f\u00fcr mich auf meinem meditativen Weg hilfreich. Denn in der Meditation \u00fcben wir uns ja darin, reines und ungebundenes Bewusstsein zu sein. Erste Anzeichen einer Leidenschaft f\u00fcr die Mystik zeigten sich, als ich in meinen fr\u00fchen Zwanzigern mit Ideen aus der Welt des Zen in Ber\u00fchrung kam, sowie mit B\u00fcchern von Osho und Jiddu Krishnamurti. Als ich einmal an einem Kurs \u00fcber Transzendentale Meditation teilnahm, erw\u00e4hnte der Dozent, dass diese Meditation der Tradition nach zu einer Einheits-Erfahrung mit dem Universum f\u00fchren k\u00f6nne. Ohne zu verstehen, warum, wusste ich von diesem Moment an, dass dies das einzige war, was mich im Leben interessierte. Dies war der Beginn einer zweij\u00e4hrigen intensiven Suche. Es war mir egal, was ich hinter mir lassen musste, um es zu erreichen: Ich war nur an dieser schwer fassbaren Erkenntnis interessiert. Ich glaube, ich habe nicht einmal richtig meditiert. Mein wichtigstes Werkzeug war die Selbsterforschung: Ich untersuchte, was und wie ich beobachtete, und versuchte, den Aussagen spiritueller Meister auf den Grund zu gehen.<\/p>\n

Die entscheidende innere Offenbarung geschah f\u00fcr mich im Alter von dreiundzwanzig Jahren. Mit meinem ersten spirituellen Lehrer Tyohar nahm ich an einem Schweige-Retreat in der Sinai-W\u00fcste in \u00c4gypten teil. Die entscheidende Verschiebung der Perspektive passierte am Geburtstag meines Lehrers. Es geschah inmitten einer Feier, die ihm zu Ehren abgehalten wurde. W\u00e4hrend alle sangen und Gitarre spielten, sa\u00df ich au\u00dferhalb des Kreises und betrachtete alles. Aber pl\u00f6tzlich schaute ich nicht mehr auf die Szene, sondern auf ihren Betrachter \u2013 auf denjenigen, der schaut. Dies wurde zu einem Moment vollkommener Ehrlichkeit und Klarheit \u2013\u00a0so dass ich, als ich in mich hineinschaute, nichts sah. Da war kein Zentrum. Dies nahm ich als schlichte Tatsache wahr. Als ich auf die Geschichte meines Lebens zur\u00fcckblickte, fand ich kein einheitliches Selbst, das all die Erinnerungen und Erfahrungen miteinander verband. In diesem Moment riss die gesamte Kette von Zeit und Kontinuit\u00e4t. Es herrschte v\u00f6llige Stille, als w\u00fcrde die ganze Welt innehalten. Gl\u00fcckseligkeit begann durch jede Zelle meines K\u00f6rpers zu str\u00f6men und ich hatte ich das Gef\u00fchl, mich von der Feier weg an den Strand bewegen zu m\u00fcssen. Dort f\u00fchlte es sich an, als ob mein Selbst, das vorher nur ein winziges Samenkorn war, in alle Richtungen explodierte. Das Gef\u00fchl von „Ich bin“, das vorher in meinem K\u00f6rper gewesen war, war \u00a0nun \u00fcberall: Ich war in der Sonne, den Felsen, dem Meer und in allen Menschen um mich herum … Es gab keinen Ort im ganzen Universum, an dem dieses „Ich bin“ nicht war. Dies l\u00f6ste ein zutiefst gl\u00fcckseliges Einheitsbewusstsein aus.<\/p>\n

Damit begann ein ganzes Jahr, in dem diese innere Erfahrung immer weiter neue und noch vielschichtigere Erkenntnisse zutage f\u00f6rderte. Zugleich hatte ich keine Vorstellung mehr von meiner eigenen Entwicklungsgeschichte. Da mein Selbstgef\u00fchl die gesamte Struktur meiner Psyche zusammengehalten hatte, begann die Struktur zu zerbr\u00f6ckeln. Die gewohnte Art, mich auf die Welt um mich herum zu beziehen, fiel damit weg. Das ganze Jahr \u00fcber sa\u00df ich nur in meinem Zimmer, fiel in spontane meditative Zust\u00e4nde oder machte lange Spazierg\u00e4nge. Sprechen konnte ich kaum. Ich konnte mich nur in diese Gl\u00fcckseligkeit versenken und dabei abwechselnd weinen und lachen. Im Alter von sechsundzwanzig Jahren traf ich meinen zweiten und langj\u00e4hrigen Lehrer, Dr. Gabriel Cousens. Dieser begleitete mich sieben Jahre lang mit Wissen aus den alten Weisheitstraditionen und gab mir genaue Anleitung. Selbst ein Yogi, der von Swami Mukthananda eingeweiht wurde, half er mir, den Kundalini-Prozess zu meistern. Nach zehn Jahren rief er mich eines Abends an und teilte mir mit, seinem Gef\u00fchl nach sei der Prozess abgeschlossen. Er forderte mich auf, nun selbst zu lehren.<\/p>\n

Da mein Interesse an pers\u00f6nlichen Erfolgen nachgelassen hat, widme ich mein Leben nur noch einer Sache: Ich investiere meine Energie darein, Werkzeuge und Wissen zu schaffen, um Menschen bei ihrer eigenen Erkenntnis zu unterst\u00fctzen. An den meisten Tage bin ich allein, einfach und schweigend, in einer fast m\u00f6nchischen Routine und Umgebung. Stille und Einsamkeit sind f\u00fcr mich nicht nur erholsam, sondern auch eine Quelle der Kreativit\u00e4t. Wenn ich nicht unterrichte, verbringe ich meine Tage vor allem mit Schreiben, oder indem ich neue Lehrmaterialen entwickele. Das geht bis in den sp\u00e4ten Abend hinein. Die kreative Entwicklung dieser Lehren hat kein Ende und wird st\u00e4ndig erweitert. Es gibt so viel zu tun! Mein einziger Wunsch ist, genug Zeit zu haben um meine innere Vision zu verwirklichen. Am Ende eines jeden Tages sehe ich mir meist einen Film an, da Filme mir viel \u00fcber die menschliche Erfahrung zeigen. Ich pers\u00f6nlich glaube, dass Filme eine Kunstform sind, die sich besonders unmittelbar mit dem Sinn und Zweck des Lebens auseinandersetzt.<\/p>\n
